The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has made another arrest in connection with Friday’s triple shooting on Fleetwood Drive.
Monday afternoon, investigators arrested 32-year-old Stanice Joy Acoy following the execution of a search warrant related to the shooting crime scene. Investigators found that Acoy, who is the aunt of the twin gunshot victims, was the designated guardian and caregiver for them, along with four other children of her own.
Investigators allege Acoy was keeping the children in deplorable living conditions, including one bed for six children, a loaded firearm within reach of children, over 50 grams of crack cocaine, over 90 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
All of the children involved were taken into emergency protective custody by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to DSS.
Stanice has been charged with 5 counts of Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
