An investigation is ongoing after explicit AI generated images of underage students surfaced at a high school in the Low Country.
The North Charleston Police Department says, a School Resource Officer at Fort Dorchester High School was notified that images of five underaged female students surfaced online, last Thursday.
The images had been posted to social media and had the victim's faces and names on naked bodies that were generated by artifical intellegience. As of the time of this report, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
However, police say they have identified two suspects, a boy and girl who are also both minors. Police have seized electronic devices associated with the case and School District officials say they are also investigating the issue.
