A woman is in custody after a shooting in the parking lot of an Upstate grocery store, earlier this week. The Fountain Inn Police Department responded to Food Lion on North Main Street around 5PM, Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers found that both the suspect and the victim had left the scene. They then learned that a man had been taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds.
The Police Department now says, 57 year old Lara Golden Allen has been arrested in connection to the shooting. She's charged with attempted murder, shooting into a vehicle and a weapons violation.
Investigators say the victim was trying to leave when Allen began firing on them. The two were said to be acquainted. There's been no update on the victim's condition.
