The suspect in a shooting that happened after a bar fight in Western North Carolina this past weekend, is now in custody.
As we previously reported, the Asheville Police Department responded to a parking lot near the Tiger Mountain Bar, early Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, officers found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Mission Hospital. The suspect 36 year old, Juan Francisco Martinez Jr. initially fled the scene.
Police say he turned himself in Thursday morning. Martinez is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and a weapons violations.
