Bond denied in an Upstate assault and kidnapping case last month.
Spartanburg Police responded Saturday to a shopping center on Dorman Centre Drive to a call from a woman found visibly shaken in the back seat of her vehicle.
According to the woman, a man came up to her with a handgun while she was loading grocery bags into her car and forced her into his car and behind the shopping center, where he attempted to force her into performing a sex act. She instead managed to escape back to her car, and bystanders called 911.
The suspect, now identified as Justin Alexander Mikittrick, was later arrested on armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, kidnapping and assault with intent to commit sexual conduct charges.
He is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center after being denied bond early Thursday afternoon.
