A number of local political leaders are speaking out after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Congressman Ralph Norman joined the Tara Show, Wednesday morning to do just that.

Norman said " They (Leftists) are not going to silence conservatives, though. Their method of dealing with dissent in their minds is what you see in third world countries. It's socialism and violence is a part of it, but not in America and they resorting to assassinating people like they did Charlie Kirk".

Following Charlie Kirk's death a Congresswoman from Colorado called for a prayer in the Chambers of the U.S. Congress, something Norman says sparked an uproar.

Norman said " A simple request from Lauren Boebert to have a prayer in the House Of Representatives and the left went crazy. They shouted Mike Johnson down. But, they can shout all they want. They still haven't figured out why 77 million people rejected them and we're going to reject them in even more numbers in future elections".

Ralph Norman will be giving up his 5th District Congressional seat to run for Governor of South Carolina. He faces a field crowded with Republican candidates including Attorney General Alan Wilson, Congresswoman Nancy Mace, and Lt. Governor Pam Evette.
