Utility Company crews are working to upgrade the infrastructure on a busy Upstate road. Duke Energy says, upgrades are being made on East Stone Avenue in Greenville.

The avenue connects Highway 276 to Downtown Greenville and serves as a feeder to 385. Duke says, it is set to upgrade the power lines and utility poles along the avenue. Some of the poles are beaten up by severe weather, others have been damaged in crashes on the busy roadway.

The work is set to be performed at night, so that its impact on traffic is minimal. Duke Energy says frequent stops and work crews will be in the area for the next several weeks. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
