A potential disaster was averted, as a commercial plane carrying about a hundred people had to return to the GSP airport. Officials say a Southwest Airlines flight was departing GSP around 8PM Monday night, when the crew began to smell smoke coming from the cabin.
The flight was immediately turned around and fire department officials inspected the plane. The plane was carrying 94 passengers and was headed to Nashville.
