A once high ranking deputy in one Western North Carolina county is facing charges after being accused of misconduct. Former Madison County Chief Deputy Bronis Coy Phillips was arrested Sunday in Arizona.
He has since been extradited back to Western North Carolina. Phillips is facing charges for furnishing weapons, controlled substances and other contraband to inmates.
