Reports have surfaced that former Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright has been indicted on federal charges. Fox Carolina is reporting reporting that Wright , former Sheriff's Office Chaplain Amos Durham and Wright's cousin Lawson Watson have all been named in the indictment.
The three have reportedly reached a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office. Wright accused of wire fraud, conspiracy to obtain controlled substances and conspiracy to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funding.
This comes directly after the State Ethics Commission confirmed they plan to take action against Wright.
