Greenville County Schools will host a landmark girl’s flag football event Saturday at Mauldin High School’s practice fields. 300 girls representing 13 high school teams will compete in the event.
The Girls Flag Football program is now in its third weekend and is one of the fastest-growing sports in the district.
In a media release, GCS Director of Athletics Darryl Nance, thanked the Carolina Panthers’ for their generous support. The Charlotte-based NFL team made a grant of over $32,000 to the program.
The Round Robin event will start at 9AM and conclude with the Championship game at 1PM at the Mauldin High School practice fields on East Butler Road in Mauldin.
