The Greenville County Sheriff's Office held a press conference on Thursday to announce their newly launched Operation Safe Outcomes program.
Captain Dallas Gladson with GCSO explained that the new Operation Safe Outcomes program is a database for members of the community to submit information on special needs and vulnerable friends and family members and is linked to the individual's address.
The database will then provide first responders with information to aid in situations where they expect to interact with those individuals or should those individuals go missing and prompt a search.
Gladson explained that this database is accessible to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office as well as police departments that share their jurisdiction as well as EMS and fire fighting crews.
The program has already begun, and those wishing to submit information can do so online at the Greenville County Sheriff's Office website.
