Limestone University held its last ever graduation over the weekend. A graduating class of nearly 250 students walked across the stage at Fullerton Auditorium on Saturday.
Two ceremonies were held one at 10AM and another at 1PM. Last month, it was revealed that the school would close due to financial hardships unless 6 million dollars was raised. After fundraising efforts fell short the board voted to close the university.
A vote from faculty decided that The President and Board of Trustees would not attend graduation. Saturday's events marked the final graduation in the school's 180 years in operation.
