The man who had been reported missing in the Smoky Mountains over the weekend has been found dead. The National Park Service says, 21 year old Ryan Lakes had been missing since last being seen in Nashville, Thursday.
His car was found at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Saturday. Park officials say multiple organizations helped in the search for Lakes.
His body was found Sunday afternoon in the Big Creek area of the park in Haywood County, North Carolina, which is about 2 miles from the North Carolina-Tennessee line. Details on how Lakes died have not yet been released.
