Governor Henry McMaster and Lieutenant Governor Pamela S. Evette today attended the Ladies Leading the Workforce Roundtable.
The Roundtable luncheon which hosted business women from across the state was designed to give business leaders a face-to-face conversation with state leaders.
Lt. Gov. Evette said they wanted to hear first-hand how the pandemic and their policies have affected business.
"The governor has always been a big proponent, just like me, of having people at the table, talking to them face to face, having great dialogue, because it's that cooperation, collaboration, communication that sets South Carolina apart," Evette said.
Following the Roundtable, Gov. McMaster and Lt. Gov. Evette toured a few local woman-owned businesses in the Upstate.
"South Carolina should be very proud of the woman-owned businesses we have here. We pull together," Evette said.
