An apparent holiday gathering turned into mayhem and murder as shots rang out in the Midlands, over the weekend. The Batesburg- Leesville Police Department responded to a reported shooting on Solomon Street, just after 12AM Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers found a large group of people gathered. Police say three people were found with gunshot wounds. Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene. A 3rd victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to officials.
No arrests have been made and no further details have been released, as of the time of this report.
