"Mountain Mayhem" one injured, one in custody after WNC shooting

One person is injured and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in Western North Carolina. The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office responded to the Pisgah National Forest area around 2:45 PM, Thursday.

Upon arrival, deputies took the suspect, 26 year old Joshua Matthew Fortuner of Brevard, into custody and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon, 2nd degree kidnapping and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition. Fortuner is being held in Transylvania County on a 400,000 dollar bond.
