 
      
  An Eastern North Carolina man is on the run after allegedly killing his grandmother and stabbing a deputy there.
The suspect, 24 year old Dominic Liam Connelly, is accused of killing his grandmother and setting her home in Craven County on fire this past Saturday.
On Wednesday, the Craven County Sheriff's Office was notified that Connelly was at a Bojangles in Vanceboro. A deputy responded and found Connelly in the bathroom.
The suspect then stabbed the deputy and fled the scene on foot. Connelly is wanted for murder, 1st degree arson and larceny of a vehicle in connection to his grandmother's death.
He also is charged with attempted murder, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest in connection to the stabbing.
