The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has launched their second drug round-up of the year, with arrests made on almost half of their over two dozen total warrants.
Earlier this year, 22 arrests were made in the first drug round-up in Oconee County of the year. Now, the Sheriff’s Office has announced another 26 warrants.
The operation officially began Thursday morning and, as of Monday, 10 of those individuals have so far been arrested on various drug charges.
Most of the arrests were made on Thursday and Friday, with one subject already being in custody.
In total, 24 total drug distribution charges are levied against the 10 suspects, with another 16 warrants still active.
