(Walhalla, SC) The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster man yesterday on a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree.
32 year old Ricky Lynn Lee, Jr. was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 11:58pm. At this time, Lee, Jr. remains in custody at the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening in regards to reports of a possible sexual assault. The deputy began an investigation that was turned over to the Child/Elder Abuse Investigator with the Sheriff’s Office.
As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered in the case, it was determined that Lee, Jr. had sexually assaulted the victim sometime between January 15th and January 18th of this year. The incident involved only one victim.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victim, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further information, including any information that could in anyway potentially identify the victim.
