An investigation is ongoing after a person died after being found unresponsive in North Georgia over the weekend. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an unresponsive person lying on the side of Kesler Road in Carnesville, Sunday.
Deputies attempted life saving measures upon arrival, but those efforts were unsuccessful. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, or GBI, has been called in to assist with the investigation. No further details have been made available as of the time of this report.
