One dead after two vehicle collision at Upstate high school

One person is dead after a collision in the parking lot of an Upstate High School. The two vehicle crash happened at Brashier Middle College Charter in Simpsonville, around 3:45 PM, Tuesday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Hyundai SUV sideswiped a Ford SUV, then crashed through a fence, went into a pond and hit an embankment.

The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the Hyundai was injured and was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The Coroner's Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased, as of the time of this report.
