
What was expected to be a happy homecoming weekend at an in-state university, turned tragic after two separate shootings on campus.
Officials at South Carolina State University say two separate shootings there on Saturday left one person dead and others injured.
The University was put on lockdown after the 1st shooting at a dorm on campus. What the school described as a female guest on campus was killed in the shooting. A male guest was injured and was airlifted to a hospital, there's been no update on his condition.
Another guest was injured while fleeing the scene. The shootings happened during the University's homecoming celebration.
The incidents happened hours after the Bulldog Football program won their homecoming game 49-6 over Savannah State.
There's been no arrests announced, as of the time of this report.
