An investigation is ongoing after a shooting in Western North Carolina over the weekend. The Asheville Police Department responded to a parking lot on Fairview Road just after 1AM, Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was injured and was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the victim was inside a vehicle and was shot after the suspect followed them into the parking lot and opened fire. There's been no arrests or suspect information announced in the case as of the time of this report.
