The Carolina Panthers fired an employee for comments on social media post following the death of Charlie Kirk. The employee, Charlie Rock posted a reference to Kirk's stance on gun rights mocking his death.
He allegedly wrote on Instagram ‘Why are yall sad? Your man said it was worth it". Another screenshot depicts Rock’s Instagram account supposedly sharing the Wu-Tang Clan's song ‘Protect Ya Neck’ after Kirk was fatally shot in the neck Wednesday.
The team quickly fired Rock, who had just been promoted to a full-time position in the communications department.
