A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car Monday morning. The crash happened around 6AM on SC Highway 253 less than a mile west of Greenville. The Highway Patrol says the pedestrian was in the roadway and was hit by the driver of a Nissan sedan. The driver of the Nissan was injured and taken to Greenville Memorial, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
