The Shrine Bowl is the top all-star football game across the Carolinas. The game is set for this weekend in the Upstate. However, yesterday it was less about game prep and more about brightening the lives of children afflicted with serious illnesses.

Over 100 Shrine Bowl players and coaches visited patients at Shriners Children's Hospital in Greenville. The players spent time interacting with the pediatric patients and learning about the various struggles those kids face.

The visit is an part of the pageantry that surrounds the annual all-star game.

The game is set for 1PM Saturday at Viking Stadium in Spartanburg, as the best players in South Carolina will take on the top the Tar Heel State has to offer.
