A South Carolina National Guardsman from the Upstate is facing child sex crime charges. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says, 45 year old Jared Allen Dill is charged with 10 counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Dill was arrested at his home in Easley, Thursday morning. The investigation began in September after the Sheriff's Office received a number of tips regarding Dill's online activity .The Sheriff's Office says the child sex abuse files that Dill uploaded depicted images of children ranging in ages from 5 years old to 15 years old.
Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride issued a statement following the arrest saying "“It does not matter what your rank or position you hold within the community, there is no hiding behind a uniform when this kind of wrongdoing is involved. We will arrest all violators when it comes to protecting our children".
