A Greenville woman is in custody after allegedly shooting into a police vehicle at the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says, 51 year old Tracy Dawn Burkhart of Greenville shot into an unmarked vehicle around 3AM Tuesday morning before fleeing the scene.
A Deputy witnessed the shooting incident and went after Burkhart. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop and was able to take Burkhart into custody and recover what is believed to be the gun used in the shooting. Burkhart faces charges of unlawful carry, malicious damage and trespassing.
