Simpsonville Fire was called to MAA Spring Creek Apartment Homes on Capewood Road, Thursday, December 4, 2025.
According to the City of Simpsonville, around 8:45am, a fire broke out, affecting 16 units. Eight families have been displaced. Those families have been referred to The Red Cross, who will be assisting.
One Simpsonville firefighter suffered a minor injury of first-degree burn and was treated on scene.
Capewood Road is temporarily closed off from Grandview Drive to Richardson Street. Residents or visitors should use Grandview Drive to gain access to Spring Creek.
Officials say the fire has been extinguished. No word yet on cause.

The Simpsonville Fire Department is attending the scene of a fire that has been extinguished at MAA Spring Creek Apartment Homes at 10 Capewood Road. Here is some information:
Units 181-188 are affected, and those tenants will be displaced; units 189-196 were also affected
At least 8 families will be displaced.
Fountain Inn and South Greenville Fire departments also responded
The apartment homes are across the street from Simpsonville Fire Station 2
Call to dispatch came in around 8:42 a.m.
Fire has been contained
8 displaced families to be referred to Red Cross after verifying units unlivable
All 16 units have tenants living in them, but it not all units were occupied by their tenants of time of fire
There were no injuries except for a minor injury of first-degree burn of Simpsonville firefighter that was treated on site, and the firefighter rejoined the efforts
Capewood Road will be closed off temporarily from Grandview Drive to Richardson Street near Bridgeway Apartments; motorists can turn left onto Capewood Road and still access Bridgeway; residents or visitors of Spring Creek can access and exit apartment homes from Grandview Drive side but not Richardson Street side
