A bomb threat Monday at a Greenville school resulted in a student being criminally charged. The Greenville Police Department responded to the Greenville Middle Academy around 11AM.

Police say a bomb dog was brought to the scene and no credible threat was found. The student is being charged but has not been identified due to their age.

The school sent a message to families saying a student stated a potential bomb threat and the school was placed on a brief hold.
