A student at a Western North Carolina high school has been charged with a weapons violation after a gun was discovered on campus.
The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says, 18 year old Savion Deshaun Kimble was taken into custody Tuesday at Erwin High School. He's charged with having a gun on school grounds.
The Buncombe County School District urges students to keep reporting suspicious behavior to its anonymous safety tip line.
