A suspect is facing charged after the overdose death of an Upstate man, earlier this year. On March 30th, the Oconee County Sheriff's responded to a home near Lake Keowee after a 24 year old man was found dead by a family member.

Officials say the man had fentanyl in his system when he died. On Tuesday, the suspect 35 year old, Akeem Olajuwon Williams of Central was arrested there in connection to the incident.

He's charged with involuntary manslaughter and drug distribution. The Sheriff's Office says Williams sold the man pills that contained fentanyl, the day before he was found dead.
