A Western North Carolina man is facing murder charges after a woman was found dead there, over the weekend. The Yancey County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the South Toe Community, Sunday.
Upon arrival deputies found a woman dead, she's been identified as Emma Gibbs Dreyton. The suspect, Henry Paul Dreyton had left the scene. He was involved in a crash nearby and was airlifted to a hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Dreyton is charged with murder and is currently being held in Johnson City. The Yancey County Sheriff's Office and NCBI are investigating the murder. No further details have been released, as of the time of this report.
