The suspension has been lifted for the Apache Helicopter Pilots who were involved the Salute From The Shore Flyover. A social media post from the Department of War says, the suspensions have been lifted effective immediately.
The National Guard has previously stated that 8 pilots had been temporarily suspended while officials were reviewing the situation.
Governor McMaster took to social media to respond to the situation saying "The men and women who pilot the world’s most sophisticated aircraft are trusted to do so around the globe; in times of imminent danger and peril. Surely, they know how to safely navigate the coast of South Carolina."
