A Westminster man is facing a list of charges after a domestic incident and chase that crossed into Georgia.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says 46 year old, John Justin Ward is charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic violence, aggravated assault, weapons violations and multiple other crimes.
The Sheriff's Office says that on October 17th Ward hit a vehicle that was parked at a home near Westminster. He then made entry into the home, pointed a shotgun at people inside, then assaulted and threatened a woman before fleeing the scene.
A deputy spotted Ward's vehicle on Highway 123 and a chase ensued when Ward refused to pull over. The chase crossed into Stephens County, Georgia where Ward was taken into custody.
He has since been transported from Stephens County and is being held in Oconee County.
