Polls for the general election in South Carolina are open from 7AM until 7PM. Anyone in line to vote at 7PM will be allowed to vote.
Some elections officials have predicted that lines to vote on Tuesday may be shorter than usual because of the large volume of early absentee voters and mailed-in absentee ballots.
Covid-19 has changed the process, but you will still vote on the new electronic voting machines that will print out a paper ballot that will then be scanned.
You will be asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Poll workers will also be wearing face coverings, shields and gloves. Hand sanitizer will also be available.
If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19 you will be asked to use the curbside voting option.
