Sinclair Broadcast Group, the nation's largest ABC affiliate group, which includes 11 stations licensed to the Carolinas and Georgia, issued a statement regarding the now suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live late night program.
The Baltimore based media group, noted that ABC has ceased production of the program following Kimmel's false claims that the Charlie Kirk assassin was a MAGA supporter.
Vice Chairman Jason Smith said "Mr Kimmel'ss remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country."
Sinclair stations will air a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk Friday, during the Jimmy Kimmel Live timeslot. In our listening area, Sinclair operates WLOS TV in Asheville.
