A Western North Carolina man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of murder. 40 year old, Jeffrey Allen Higgins was found guilty in Late May of 1st degree murder after a jury trial.
The charge came after the 2023 McDowell County shooting death of a man identified as Jimmy Lee Cool. Higgins has been sentenced to life without parole.
