A murder suspect is dead after officials in Western North Carolina say he committed suicide prior to his arrest, late last week.
The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says 61 year old, Marco Loretto was found dead in early March after he had been reported missing, February 24th. Loretto's body found near his home on Elk Mountain Highway after he had been fatally shot.
The Sheriff's Office says, the suspect Christopher Robin Rogers then moved onto the victim's property and was driving his vehicle.
Investigators went to arrest Rogers last Friday, he then barricaded himself inside a camper and refused to come out. He was later found dead with a self inflicted gunshot wound.
