WNC woman pleads guilty in connection to deadly shooting case

A Western North Carolina woman will spend time behind bars after pleading guilty in connection to a fatal shooting in Asheville.

Officials say 35 year old, Aria Shaquana Waters entered guilty pleas on charges of accessory to voluntary manslaughter, possession of a stolen gun and attempting to traffic meth.

The charges came after a man identified as Terry Landrum Sr. was shot to death, last year. 19 year old, Knowledge Davis previously pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and is serving between 5 and 1/2 and 7 1/2 years in prison.

Court records show that Waters used a stolen vehicle belonging to Davis' mother to help the teenager flee from the the scene of the shooting.

Waters will serve a minimum of nearly 4 years and a maximum of 6 years.
