Rep. Nancy Mace says she is “seriously considering” a gubernatorial run in 2026. The First District Republican told The Associated Press Wednesday that she will likely make a determination on entering the primary in the coming weeks.
Filing for the race won’t open for more than a year, but potential candidates such as Attorney General Alan Wilson and Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette are already testing the waters.
Mace last year won her third term and told the AP she plans to ask for support from President Donald Trump.
