Have you ever tried using Naan bread for flatbread pizza? This simple recipe uses Naan and blueberries for a savory and sweet twist on traditional flatbread pizza.
Ingredients:
1 piece of Naan bread
1/2 cup blueberries
1 large shallot, sliced thinly
1/4 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup feta cheese (you could also use goat cheese)
1/4 cup cream cheese
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp olive oil
Handful of baby arugula
Trader Joe’s South African Smoke seasoning (you could use smoked paprika instead)
Salt
Pepper
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Take a piece of Naan bread and place it on top of the baking sheet and brush with a little olive oil.
Mix together the feta cheese, ricotta and cream cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl.
Place the sliced shallots in a sauté pan. Sauté for a few minutes until they start to get crispy, then add the honey to the shallots. Sauté them until they start to caramelize.
While the shallots are finishing sautéing, spread the cheese mixture all over the Naan bread in an even layer.
Spread the shallots with honey across the Naan bread.
Add the blueberries to the top of the Naan. Place them evenly around on the Naan.
Sprinkle some of the Trader Joe’s South African Smoke seasoning on top for flavor.
Place the baking sheet inside the oven and bake for approximately 10-12 minutes.
Remove from oven and add the baby arugula to the top of the pizza.
Slice and serve.
