As we hit Week 10, the AFC divisional picture is starting to crystallize — and according to BetMGM odds, some races look almost locked up. The Bills are heavy favorites at -10000 to clinch the AFC East, the Texans sit at -1400 to take the AFC South, and the Chiefs are an overwhelming -100000 to win the AFC West. Unless one of these teams suffers an epic collapse, there’s little suspense left in these divisions.
The real drama, however, is brewing in the AFC North, where BetMGM odds suggest the race is wide open. The Ravens currently lead the pack with -200 odds and own the highest handle percentage (38.3%) in the division. But those odds could shift quickly, especially with a big divisional matchup against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Cincinnati, third in the standings with +900 odds, has shown glimpses of a dangerous offense, as they did in Week 9. A Bengals win here could significantly tighten the race, pulling Baltimore’s odds closer to even money while giving Cincinnati’s odds a big boost.
The Steelers, sitting at +220, sit sandwiched between those two teams. They were picked to finish last in the division before the season started, opening at +1200, yet they now hold the highest ticket percentage (36.3%) and are BetMGM’s biggest liability for an AFC North win.
However, Pittsburgh’s path won’t be easy; they face a brutal second-half schedule with four straight division games starting in Week 11, and two more in the final stretch. Mike Tomlin’s squad has exceeded expectations thus far, but this upcoming gauntlet will be their toughest test yet.
For the Browns, the odds paint a bleak picture. After opening the season at +500, they’ve plummeted to +75000, effectively removing them from the division conversation. With only 8.2% of handle and 15.6% of tickets on Cleveland, their hopes for a division title are all but over.
