Ever since H-E-B first announced they were finally venturing to North Texas, the grocery store chain has continued to buy up land in the metroplex. Now, they have made yet another purchase, this time in Prosper. The Texas-based grocery store bought up 20 acres of land in Prosper last week, though they have not announced plans for the property yet.
H-E-B already has a number of stores being built north of Dallas with locations under construction in Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Allen. While many were hoping the chain would begin venturing south, it appears their next move may be even further north in Prosper. The new plot of land purchased by the grocery store chain is located on the southeast corner of Dallas North Tollway and Frontier Parkway.
According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, H-E-B also has property in Fort Worth as part of their real estate portfolio; though no plans for an H-E-B location have been announced for that plot of land either. Many are hoping this new purchase turns into another DFW H-E-B location, as this one would be near Frontier Park, a high school and new housing developments. Soon North Texas won’t remember a time without H-E-B.
