We're not sure if San Antonio residents have any sentimentality towards the Alamodome like Dallasites had with buildings like Reunion Arena or the Bronco Bowl but there is one thing for certain, it's not the prettiest building to look at.
And we're not just being mean!
A new study from Buildworld recently named the Alamodome as one of the ten ugliest buildings in the world.
The Alamodome came in at No. 9 on the list, with the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington D.C. snagging the No. 1 spot.
Buildworld analyzed data on X, formerly Twitter, and "used a set of keywords to obtain all tweets that reflected the public's opinion regarding its design," according to MySA.com. Buildworld then used a sentiment analysis tool called "HuggingFace" to analyze the percentage of tweets that were negative about each building's design.
Based on their research, the ten ugliest buildings in the world are:
1 - J. Edgar Hoover Building, Washington D.C.
2 - City Hall, Boston
3 - The Verizon Building, New York
4 - The Watergate Complex, Washington D.C.
5 - The Denver International Airport, Colorado
6 - Trump Tower, Las Vegas
7 - U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis
8 - The Thompson Center, Chicago
9 – The Alamodome, San Antonio
10 - The Florida State Capitol, Tallahassee
