There are many people who have a fear of flying, yet are forced to get on a plane for a variety of reasons. While plenty have their own remedy for keeping themselves calm while flying, many turn to alcohol. That has made flying tough over the last few years as alcohol sales had been halted by a number of airlines. However, American Airlines recently announced they are bringing back inflight alcohol drink service.

Starting April 18, American Airlines passengers will be able to order drinks from flight attendants. The airline had shut down alcohol sales in March 2020, and while there had been discussions about bringing it back, it had remained halted ever since. Now, drinks will be served once again, though not at full scale just yet.

“Beginning April 18, American will slowly reintroduce its buy-on-board program including alcohol and light snacks to domestic main cabin flights. Customers traveling on flights over 250 miles will be offered beer, wine and spirits," the airline said in a statement announcing the move. According to NBC DFW, American Airlines will keep pricing the same, with spirits being sold for $9, wine for $9 and beer for $8. Hopefully this makes flying a little bit easier.
