Taylor Sheridan is building quite the empire for himself.
According to MySA.com, his Texas ranch spans more than 267,000 acres, and the success of his multiple TV shows has led him to becoming one of the biggest landowners in all the state of Texas, and in fact owns more land than the city of Austin!
Austin covers about 204,000 acres.
What’s crazy is that Sheridan doesn’t even crack the top 5 of largest landowners in the state of Texas.
The five biggest landowners in the state are:
1 - Texas Pacific Land Corporation – 873,000 acres
2 – King Ranch Heirs – 836,000 acres
3 – Caddo Sustainable Timberlands – 831,000 acres
4 – Brisco Family – 738,000 acres
5 – Brad Kelly – 586,000 acres
