When bands are first starting out, most of the time their shows aren’t exactly what they always dreamed about. Usually the venues are small, and the crowds are even smaller. Yet, a gig is a gig, and bands trying to reach fame will take whatever they can get. That’s how one band ended up performing at a Wendy’s drive-thru, helping the restaurant close on time by blocking customers from ordering.
One of the biggest complaints from people that work in the food industry is people arriving right as the restaurant is about to close. Luckily for one Wendy’s employee, his friend is the drummer of a metal band that was looking for a way to perform. That’s how the band Vella La Vella ended up with their Wendy’s drive-thru show; performing on a truck bed in the drive-thru, blocking other customers from getting to the speaker box.
According to Metal Injection, the Wendy’s was able to close on time thanks to the performance. Since being shared online, videos of Vella La Vella playing at Wendy's have gone viral. Hopefully their next show will be at a more impressive venue.
