Just about every country in the world has an incredible sight one has to see to believe. While many plan vacations around seeing these great destinations, luckily for those in Texas, one of America’s greatest sights is right here in the Lone Star state. Big Bend National Park was recently included on the list of must see destinations for 2023, and it is definitely deserving of a spot on the list.
National Geographic Travel recently unveiled their “Best of the World 2023” list, sharing 25 global destinations they deem “under the radar, ahead of the curve, and ready for you to start exploring.” According to Dallas Culture Map, the list used five categories to come up with the destinations; Community, Nature, Culture, Family, and Adventure. Big Bend National Park was included in the “nature” category along with the Azores, Botswana, Slovenia, and the Scottish Highlands.
Just last year, Big Bend National Park saw 581,000 visitors, but that should grow after being included on National Geographic’s list. Now there is yet another reason for people to come to Texas.
